An OK Product
We had the Mastic siding put on our property around three years ago and within the first year the trim, which is aluminum siding, had faded to a beige color from grey. I check the warranty and found that Mastic only covers the vinyl itself. Though with a little paint the trim looks good again, but it is not the best quality product, that's for sure.

Not Very Strong
We chose Mastic for our home because it offered so many color options and I thought it was very visually appealing. It wasn't cheap either and yet isn't as strong as I had hoped which I found out when our lawnmower threw up a stone which actually broke a panel. We had to replace the panel and while that wasn't difficult to do, it's just disappointing on how weak these panels really are.

Mastic vs Variform
I've used Variform Timber Oak on two projects and personally don't think the panels are as good as a comparable Certainteed or Mastic siding. They have just become part of Ply Gem so maybe that changes things, but I can't really speculate. I always advice customers to see the products they are deciding between side-by-side to really look at the thickness and color and overall quality before making a decision that they have to live with for hopefully a lot of years.

Great Product
When we remodeled our home we chose the Mastic wood siding option and I am thrilled with it. We are always being complemented by friends and neighbors and I must admit I agree that it does look better than the wood cladding they have on their own properties. We've had some hectic ice storms and the siding has held up well, I would definitely recommend Mastic without hesitation.

Mastic v Certainteed
As a siding professional I get to see all the lines available for vinyl siding and I must say that Alcoa Mastic and some of the Certainteed siding is better than the Alside Prodigy line. While Alside Prodigy is fine and used by many homeowners, it just isn't my first choice when it comes to quality vinyl siding.

Faded Over Time
We chose the Mastic Cedar Shake siding around four years ago and I am so disappointed with the product. It's faded over that period and the joints are exposed because the panels shifted. Not a great product and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

A Satisfied Customer
We had our Mastic siding installed almost two years ago and it is fantastic. It hasn't faded and we've had absolutely no problems, in fact it's very durable. The Dutch laps are elegant in design and the warranty stating it wouldn't fade for ten years or more was a huge plus for us. I would recommend this siding product to anyone without hesitation.
