Bevel Siding Basics
Bevel siding is also referred to as clapboard, lap and colonial siding. It was traditionally made from real wood planks that were sawn at a slight angle to create the difference in thickness between the top and bottom of the board. Today, however, beveled siding can be made from a variety of materials, including real wood, vinyl, fiber cement and even composite panels.

The main determinant in bevel siding prices will be the material used for the boards.
