Is Alside One Of The Worst Siding Brands?
| Siding Option | Product Tier | Editor's Assessment |
|---|---|---|
| Alside Charter Oak | Premium | Higher-end Alside option worth considering |
| Alside Entry-Level Siding Lines | Entry Level | Less attractive for homeowners focused on long-term value |
Comparison Note: Alside offers multiple siding lines ranging from entry-level to premium, so overall quality depends heavily on the specific series being considered.
"Bill, is Alside siding a good product? I was reading a Reddit forum that seemed o indicate that it was one of the worst siding brands. Is this true?"
Allison - Homeowner - from 2026
Editor's Advice:
Allison, no I would not put Alside into the worst siding brands category. However, remember that most siding companies have multiple products that run the gamut from entry level to premium. Alside’s premium product includes the Charter Oak series. They also have very entry level siding lines that I would avoid if you want to maximize your long term value for the investment.
