This product was tested by Consumer Reports and received an 83 out of 100, which was the best rated Consumer Reports siding. The CedarMAX has a thickness of .050, is available in 3 distinct profiles and is available in 17 color options.

Fiber Cement Composite Boards

Fiber cement boards are made from a variety of materials and are therefore considered a composite material. One of the most popular products is the primed HardiePlank Select Cedarmill that runs approximately $2 psf. The product got a Consumer Reports siding rating of 73 and was one of their recommended fiber cement products, along with the Nichiha siding boards.
