Craneboard Vinyl Siding
Craneboard vinyl siding will typically run $3.50 to $5 per square foot, primed in the factory and delivered to the job site. Crane also offers primed and painted factory boards that will add $.50 per square foot to the board cost. Some contractors like to get the factory paint, while others will do it on the job site. The biggest issue here is whether Crane offers a paint color that the homeowner wants or whether they would prefer to use a custom color.

Additional Costs For Materials
There are always additional materials costs that include items such as housewrap, trim, soffit and fascia pieces, nails, starter boards, etc. How much and how extensive the homeowner's use of these materials will dictate how much the contractor will charge for the materials as well as the additional labor costs. In general, the additional materials will add $1 to $2 per square foot to the project.

Installation/Labor Pricing
Installation pricing for a project will vary considerably, dependent on both the type of panels used, as well as how easy or complex the installation. Vinyl lap siding is one of the easier materials to install, while fiber cement boards are more difficult. Thorough and proper installation is probably the single most important steps to ensuring quality and long lasting cladding. If the contractor paints the boards on site, homeowners can expect a $.50 to $1 per square foot extra charge for the additional labor.
