ABTco Siding Warranty

The ABTco siding warranty is a relatively long document that actually includes some decent provisions. It protects the original purchaser for the lifetime of the siding from the standard problems; rusting, peeling, blistering, flaking, etc. It includes a hail provision, where the homeowner must first make a claim with their homeowner's insurance. If the homeowneris insurance will not cover the damage, then ABTco will provide replacement materials, but will not cover any of the replacement labor or freight costs.

The siding is warrantied not to fade more that 4 Delta E color units in the first 25 years. The warranty is fully transferrable, although the new owner must inform ABTco in wrinting within 90 days of the property change. The fade provison and hail provisions are not transferrable to the new owner, which seems odd. As always, there are a number of warranty exclusions included that should be read and thoroughly understood by any consumer who is considering purchasing their siding.
